Whether you are a complete novice or want to take your metalworking skills to an arcane level, Brauer Blades has tailored classes to suit your needs.
Learn the secrets of steel by getting down and dirty at the forge!
Learners must be 16 years of age or older.
Though all safety measures will be observed constantly, learners must sign a waiver.
LEVEL 1 SMITH
2 hr 30 min session
$150 per person
The instructor will demonstrate/walk-through entry level forging techniques, basic tools and safety measures which the learner will then perform.
​
Entry level techniques include forging a round bar into a square bar, forging a taper (point), forging a step, performing a hot cut, punching a hole, and making a round bend.
​
​These skills serve as a foundation upon which additional skills and techniques can be taught and refined.
​
Learners will have the opportunity to practice these steps repeatedly to build proficiency.
​
Eye and ear protection will be provided.
LEVEL 2 SMITH
2 Hr 30 min session
$150 per person
